Our client “GLOBAL KIARA SDN BHD" is seeking a Junior Business Development Executive to join their company!
What you’ll be doing?
- Assist in identifying and pursuing new business opportunities within the engineering sector.
- Support the development and implementation of strategies to expand market presence and drive sales growth.
- Market Research: Conduct market research to identify potential clients, industry trends, and competititve landscape. Analyze data to inform business development strategies and decision-making.
- Support the preparation and delivery of presentations, proposals, and bids to potential clients.
- Assist in building and maintaining relationships with existing and prospective clients.
- Attend conferences, meetings, industry events, etc.
- Proposal Preparation: Assist in preparing technical and commercial proposals, including drafting documentation, gathering information, and ensuring accuracy. Understand client needs and recommend solurions accordingly.
- Provide support to the sales team by coordinating meetings, preparing reports, and following up on leads.
- Track sales progress and update CRM systems accordingly.
- Work with internal teams to ensure alignment between business development activities and project execution.
- Facilitate communication between engineering, project management, and business development teams.
- Administrative Tasks: Constantly maintain and organize a database of information and documents, such as company/product brochures, clients, contact information, proposals, etc.
- Stakeholder Communication: Update stakeholders in a clear and concise manner regarding project status, developments, and key information. Prepare and deliver presentations, proposals/reports, and other materials as required.
- Continuously enhance knowledge of the engineering sector and business development practices.
- Participate in training and professional development opportunities.
Who are they looking for?
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (e.g., Electrical, Mechanical, Renewable Energy, or related field).
- While prior business development experience is not required, a background in Transmission & Distribution, Solar, EPCC, or manufacturing is preferred.
- Fresh graduates or candidates with limited experience are encouraged to apply.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to juggle multiple, concurrent prospects with various deadlines.
- Proficient in keeping track of information, contacts, and products from various companies. o Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Skilled in preparing presentations, proposals/reports, and other documentation
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and basic knowledge of CRM software is a plus.
- Multilingual proficiency (English and Mandarin required; additional languages are a plus).
- Proactive, motivated, and eager to learn, with a strong interest in business development. o Goal-oriented with a passion for contributing to business growth.
- Able to handle a fast-paced environment.
