We are a growing SME based in Ipoh, specializing in the geological consulting and services, mineral supply, and trading industry. As part of our expansion, we are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Accountant to join our team.
Qualifications & experience
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- At least 5 years of working experience in accounting or related roles
- Familiarity with Malaysian accounting standards and tax regulations
- Proficient in accounting software (e.g., MYOB, SQL, or other relevant platforms)
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Fluent in Professional English (both writing and speaking)
Tasks & responsibilities
- Manage full set of accounts, including financial statements, balance sheets, and profit and loss reports
- Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting in compliance with local regulations
- Monitor and manage cash flow, budgets, and financial forecasts
- Handle payroll, tax submissions, and other statutory compliance matters (EPF, EIS, SOCSO)
- Prepare and submit monthly, quarterly, and annual tax filings and liaise with tax authorities
- Assist with audits and collaborate with external auditors and tax agents
- Provide financial analysis and insights to support business decision-making
- Maintain accurate and organized financial records
- Lead and manage the accounts for subsidiaries companies
