Job Summary

The Business Development and Marketing Executive is responsible for supporting marketing efforts and contributing to business development activities. This entry to mid-level role involves executing marketing tasks, managing administrative functions, and assisting in business growth initiatives.

Job Responsibilities

  • Marketing Execution: Assist in the execution of marketing campaigns and promotional activities. Manage social media accounts, email marketing, and other digital marketing tasks.
  • Administrative Support: Handle administrative tasks such as scheduling, reporting, and record-keeping. Support the team in organizing meetings and events.
  • Lead Generation: Identify and follow up on potential business leads. Assist in qualifying leads and setting up meetings.
  • Content Creation: Help create marketing materials such as brochures, social media posts, and blog content. Maintain and update the company’s website and marketing collateral.
  • Brand Management: Implement plans for the brand, customer experience, and brand loyalty to drive the organization's brand awareness. Execute market trends research and analyze consumer market activities.
  • Data Collection: Collect and organize data related to marketing campaigns and business development activities. Assist in preparing reports and summaries.
  • Ad Hoc Tasks: Handle miscellaneous tasks and projects as assigned by the Marketing Manager, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability to changing priorities.
  • Qualifications

  • Possess at least a Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Mass Communications, Digital Marketing, or an equivalent field.
  • Proven 1 to 2 years relevant experience, preferably in marketing, business development, A&P, or a related sector.
  • Proficiency in Mandarin (for the China market), English, and Bahasa Malaysia, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fluid environment, remaining flexible, agile and adaptable support at short notice, willing to travel outstation or oversea when required.

  • Organizational Skills: Able to manage multiple tasks and projects within the given time frame. Report and update work progress.
  • Communication Skills: Effective verbal and written communication skills. Good presentation skills would be an added advantage.
  • Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze data and issues, escalating them to superiors with complete reference.
  • Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with MS Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Familiarity with marketing software and tools is a plus.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Maintain good relationship-building skills with clients and team members.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to address and escalate issues proactively and efficiently.
