Job Function:

Activity Management

  • Able manage activities to focus and prioritize on high value added activities and minimizing low added value ones to achieve goals. At the same time, able to engage agents to set clear goals while motivating them towards the goals.

Agency management

  • Manages the agency by having the best practices for, training, recruitment ,performance management and makes the agency goals sharable to everyone.

Motivating Others

  • Creates an environment that encourages agent to achieve their potential, be motivated and work together.

Uses adult learning principles

  • The trainer or instructor uses adult learning principles that enhance motivation and improve retention, that use a variety of learning methods, and that set a collaborative learning environment.

Promotes learning transfer

  • The trainer uses a variety of strategies and tactics to promote learning transfer to the job before, during, and after the course.

Recommends course modifications

  • The trainer assesses the effectiveness of a course and makes specific recommendations for course changes to the course designer and training manager.

Administers tests and evaluates skill performance

  • The trainer limits test content to material already taught in the course by distributing written test materials efficiently and at the right time. The trainer gives clear directions, monitors participant progress, and answers questions without providing unwarranted assistance. The trainer collects and corrects the tests in a timely manner to provide feedback to the learners.

Facilitates activities

  • The trainer sets up the activity by giving clear directions, group participants, and draws learners’ reactions and learning points from the participants. The trainer helps the participants apply what is learned from these activities.

Conducts discussions

  • The trainer conducts a discussion by asking appropriate questions to clarify and expand the topic, including all participants, keeping the group on track, and calling for a consensus or summary. The trainer uses redirected and reverse questions to involve all participants

Business Coaching and Mentoring

  • Trainer has the knowledge and understanding of process for coaching and mentoring while creating an open, trusting and positive relationship with the agency force.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Identify training needs of stakeholders in line with individual and business needs
  • Develop, design program or initiative to achieve business objectives ; enhance program when necessary to elevate agency force’s competency and capabilities
  • Develop e-learning modules to create another alternative avenue for agency force to learn
  • Research on best practices and explore on appropriate tools, technology, platform and methodologies to produce compelling and engaging learning deliverables that align to agency and regulatory guidelines
  • Develop and implement sales and agency management tools for agency force
  • Conduct various training program (new agents program, compliance, registered financial planning module 1 & 2, financial planning- Need based selling, effective selling skills program, soft-skills, motivational and other related program) to the agency force priority for Southern Region and other regions as and when required;
  • Schedule training class for Southern Region according to the needs and promote training program to the agency force
  • Lead or support the development and execution of projects, maintain project documentation and communication to ensure successful achievement of business objectives
  • Coach and develop team members and colleagues as and when needed
  • Track and measure the impact of learning on the individual & business
  • Work on initiatives to improve agency force training fulfilment;
  • Support and assist in branch events/activities
  • Work closely with business development team and branch staff

Requirements

  • Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Degree, any field.
  • Preferably with experience in Agency Training or Sales / Business Development with Insurance background
  • Role to be based in Johor and able to travel to Melaka
  • Good communications skills and able to converse in two or more languages
