Data Scientist / AI developer (computer vision)

Position Overview: We are seeking a talented and driven Data Scientist / AI Developer with a strong focus on computer vision and image detection to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for developing and implementing advanced AI models to solve complex problems in the oil and gas sector. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying AI solutions that enhance image detection and analysis capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement computer vision algorithms and models for image detection, classification, and segmentation.
Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
Design and develop end-to-end AI solutions, from data collection and preprocessing to model training and deployment.
Conduct experiments to evaluate the performance of various computer vision models and optimize them for accuracy and efficiency.
Collaborate with software engineers to integrate AI models into production systems.
Stay updated with the latest advancements in computer vision and AI technologies and apply them to improve existing solutions.
Perform data analysis and visualization to interpret results and present findings to stakeholders.
Ensure scalability and robustness of AI solutions to handle large-scale image data.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science or a related field. Ph.D. is a plus.
Proven experience in developing and deploying computer vision and image detection models.
Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, C++, or Java.
Strong knowledge of machine learning frameworks and libraries such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, OpenCV, and Scikit-learn.
Experience with deep learning techniques and architectures like YOLO, CNNs, RNNs, and GANs,
Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) is a plus.
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently as well as in a team.
Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Skills:

Experience in the oil and gas industry or related fields.
Knowledge of geospatial data analysis and remote sensing.
Understanding of edge computing and real-time image processing.
