Job Responsibilities:
- Process day-to-day sourcing, purchasing and inventory planning activities. Assume responsibility for the assigned materials, with focus on reducing cost or minimize price increase without compromising quality and compliance to sourcing guidelines.
- Develop new source and make preferential source recommendation for existing materials.
- Issue purchase orders, follow-up with suppliers for confirmation of orders, including order amendments and co-ordinate with Finance for advance payment.
- Manage supplier and evaluate their performance to ensure uninterrupted supply and quality.
- Report & track supplier’s delivery performance disruption that impact operations. Investigate and execute all non-conformance corrective action.
- Participate and support Global sourcing strategies and initiatives.
- Ensure customers’ orders and sample requests are fulfilled according to customer’s requested date or work out the next earliest date if customers’ requested date cannot be met.
- Collaborate with Sales/CSR team to establish agility and good inventory control.
- Adopt best practices and proactive approach to reduce slow moving/aged inventory.
- Ensure data integrity by performing good data maintenance.
- Work closely with other departments to achieve operational efficiencies. Participate in process improvement initiatives & workflow for streamlining.
- Other roles & responsibilities assigned by Supervisor.
Requirements:
- Candidate must possess at least Professional Certificate, Diploma/Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma, Bachelor's Degree/Post Graduate Diploma/Professional Degree in any field.
- Required language(s): Bahasa Malaysia, English
- At least 2 Year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
- Preferably Junior Executive specialized in Purchasing/Inventory/Material & Warehouse Management or equivalent.
- Preferably for candidate that can work as soon as possible
