Business Analyst

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Business Analyst to join our dynamic software development team. The successful candidate will be responsible for interviewing, discussing, and documenting user requirements within the agreed scope of work with clients across multiple projects and disciplines, with a significant focus on banking. This role involves capturing detailed requirements, documenting all interface specifications, and ensuring alignment with client expectations and project goals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Requirements Gathering:
  • Conduct interviews and discussions with clients to gather detailed user requirements.
  • Analyze and document business processes, user requirements, and system interfaces.
  • Ensure that requirements are captured accurately and comprehensively within the agreed scope of work.
• Documentation:
  • Create clear, concise, and detailed documentation of user requirements, business processes, and system interfaces.
  • Develop functional and non-functional requirements specifications.
  • Prepare use case diagrams, flowcharts, and other visual aids to support requirement documentation.
• Collaboration:
  • Work closely with the project manager, development team, and clients to ensure alignment on project goals and deliverables.
  • Facilitate communication between stakeholders to ensure a common understanding of requirements and project scope.
  • Participate in project meetings, providing updates on requirements and documentation status.
• Quality Assurance:
  • Assist to validate and verify requirements through testing and user feedback.
  • Assist in developing test plans and test cases to ensure requirements are met.
  • Participate in testing to ensure the final product meets client expectations.
• Project Involvement:
  • Contribute to various projects, with a significant focus on banking-related initiatives.
  • Assist in the data migration process, ensuring old data is accurately and efficiently transferred to the new system.
  • Ensure all interface requirements are documented and understood by the development team.

Qualifications:

• Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Experience:
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a Business Analyst, preferably in software development projects.
  • Proven experience in gathering and documenting user requirements and business processes.
  • Experience with projects involving automation and data migration is highly desirable.
• Skills:
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in requirement gathering and documentation tools (e.g., Microsoft Office, Visio, etc).
  • Ability to create clear and concise documentation and visual aids.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Working Conditions:

• This position may require occasional travel to client sites.
• The candidate should be able to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
