Key Job Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the continuity of daily operations in Haematology, achievement of test turnaround time and KPI targets.
  • Perform tests in the field of Haematology and Transfusion medicine.
  • Verification and validation test results.
  • Ensure that testing standards are in accordance with specific technical requirements for Haematology & Transfusion medicine as stipulated in the MS ISO 15189 of Laboratory Accreditation.
  • Able to provide supervision and guidance to junior Medical Laboratory Scientist on training requirements and operational duties.
  • Review of SOPs, prepare technical reports and perform technical processes (e.g Perform Correlation Studies/ Measurement of Uncertainty studies/ Method Validations) .
  • Participation in Quality Improvement Projects and Internal Audits.
  • Carry out Quality Assurance testing, Staff practical Assessments, Upkeep of equipment and instruments.

Job Requirements:

  • Degree in Biomedical Science/ Medical Laboratory Technology or an equivalent in Haematology or Transfusion Medicine.
  • A registered practitioner with the Malaysian Allied Health Profession.
  • At least 3 - 5 years working experience in the fields of Haematology and Transfusion Medicine.
  • Able to demonstrate good leadership skills & behavior.
  • Possess good knowledge of the principles and methods in the fields of Haematology and Transfusion Medicine.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Enthusiastic and self-motivated.
