We are starting a new location in Penang. The Penang design team will work closely with our global design engineering teams in developing leading-edge Hardware Platform Solutions in Networking, Storage, and server solutions from general-purpose to customized Cloud, AI, machine learning, Edge, and 5G deployments.

Job Responsibilities :

• Responsible for thermal solutions design to meet product requirements

• Conduct the detailed thermal assessment by calculation and simulation analysis to ensure the optimal thermal solution implemented

• Responsible for delivering comprehensive thermal proposal for RFQ technical response and presenting thermal proposal to customers

• Work closely with heat sink vendors to develop cost-efficient heat sink solutions to meet performance and cost target

• Provide a power-saving fan speed control strategy and work closely with software team to ensure fan speed control implemented

• Participate in thermal technology research and development to meet the thermal requirements of future IT equipment

• Provide innovative and creative solutions to resolve thermal challenges and issues • Establish and improve thermal process and guideline

Job Requirement :

• Minimum 5 years experience in thermal design/simulation/test validation for data centre IT equipment

• Strong user of Flotherm as CFD analysis tool for performing steady state simulation analysis, transient analysis is a plus

• Expertise in various heat sinks, heat pipe, Vapor chamber design/selection as well as Air mover,

• TIM selection, liquid cooling or other advanced cooling technology experience is a plus

• Expertise and experience in various fan speed control methodology and over-temperature protection mechanism

• Familiar with thermal measurement technology and test tools such as temperature data

logger, IR camera, wind tunnel, air speed meter etc.

• Familiar with Mechanical design tool such as Creo for 3D model check, tolerance

analysis methodology for heat sink retention design is a plus

• Familiar with industry standard including NEBS, GR-63, ASHRAE, MSA,etc
