Job Overview:
The Safety Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily safety operations and ensuring the company's compliance with all local, state, and Malaysia health and safety regulations. This individual works to create a safe and healthy work environment by conducting safety training, inspections, risk assessments, consolidating safety related records and promoting a safety culture within the organization.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Assist to execute the safety programs, implement the company's health and safety policy, and ensure the comprehensive management of company's occupational health and work safety.
  • Assist to establish, maintain, and update the company's management procedures related to all aspects of safety, including Safe System of Work and Occupational Safety.
  • Identify safety hazards and risks to recommend appropriate measures of controls, i.e. engineering controls, administrative controls and personnel protective controls.
  • Assist to analyze overall safety statistics and recommend corrective and preventive actions to improve safety performance.
  • Consolidate data from Safe System of Work (SSOW) audit to recommend for intervention/improvement plan.
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits of facilities, work areas, and equipment to identify and mitigate safety hazards.
  • Monitor work practices to ensure that employees are following safety requirements and guidelines.
  • Implement corrective actions for any safety violations and track the progress of those actions.
  • Assist on contractor safety management program and verify that contractors’ safety performance is consistent with the established safety policies, safety management system, standards, guidelines, procedures and legislative requirements.
  • Assist on incident investigation related to Occupational Safety to ensure corrective/preventive actions are properly determined to prevent recurrence.
  • Assist to execute safety training plan and if required conduct planned safety training to raise the safety awareness and competency of company’s staff and contractors.
  • Assist/Conduct safety awareness and HSE promotional programs to instill awareness on Occupational Safety to avoid loss, hazards, injuries etc.
  • In charge on PPE purchasing, inventory, readiness and compliance for staff and contractors.
  • Complete other temporary tasks assigned by superior in a timely manner.

Job Requirements:

  • Possess a minimum of Diploma holder in Occupational Safety and Health, or related Engineering/Science field or equivalent, or certificates in related field and NIOSH Certification related to Occupational Health and Safety.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a safety role, preferably in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of local, state, and Malaysia safety regulations, particularly OSHA 1994.
  • Familiarity with risk assessment, hazard control, and incident investigation techniques.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for conducting training sessions and drafting reports.
  • Registered DOSH Site Safety Supervisor (SSS) or possess relevant recognized safety management qualifications would be advantageous.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: RM6,000.00 - RM8,000.00 per month
