Job Purpose

To ensure the security, integrity, and availability of the organization's network infrastructure and data by implementing and managing robust cybersecurity measures. The role includes overseeing network operations, detecting and mitigating cyber threats, and ensuring compliance with security standards and policies.

Job Accountabilities

1. Network Management

  • Design, implement, and manage the organization's network infrastructure.
  • Monitor network performance and ensure high levels of availability and security.
  • Perform regular network assessments and upgrades.

2. Cybersecurity

  • Maintain and implement cybersecurity policies and procedures.
  • Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing.
  • Monitor security alerts and manage incident response activities.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.

3. Risk Management

  • Identify and assess potential cybersecurity risks and threats.
  • Implement risk mitigation strategies and disaster recovery plans.
  • Conduct regular security audits and provide recommendations for improvements.

4. Collaboration and Training:

  • Work closely with ICT teams to ensure seamless integration of security measures.
  • Provide training and guidance to staff on cybersecurity best practices.
  • Stay updated with the latest cybersecurity trends and technologies.

5. Documentation and Reporting:

  • Maintain detailed documentation of network configurations and security incidents.
  • Prepare and present regular reports on network performance and security status to Head of Infrastructure / Head of Group ICT and Digital

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Security, or a related field. Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, or equivalent will be preferred. Experience / exposure Minimum of 2 - 3 years of experience in cybersecurity, with demonstrated experience in developing and implementing cybersecurity strategies and policies.

Competencies

  • Strong technical knowledge and experience in cybersecurity principles, practices, and technologies, including network security, endpoint security, threat detection and response, and security operations.
  • Hands-on experience with cybersecurity tools and technologies, such as IDS/IPS, antivirus, EDR, firewalls, and vulnerability scanners.
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks, standards, and regulations, such as NIST Cybersecurity Framework, ISO/IEC 27001, GDPR, HIPAA, and PCI DSS
