You play a pivotal role in driving the financial strategy and operational efficiency of our railway track industry company. Your role is responsible for overseeing all financial activities, ensuring compliance with regulations, optimizing cash flow, managing risks, and enhancing overall operational effectiveness.
Responsibilities/Duties
- Develop and execute the company's financial strategy, aligning it with business goals and objectives.
- Prepare and oversee budgets, forecasts, and financial models. Monitor financial performance against budget and provide insights for improvement.
- Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, including income statements, balance sheets, cash flow statements, and other financial reports. Present financial information to the executive team and board of directors.
- Identify and assess financial risks and develop strategies to mitigate them. Implement internal controls to safeguard company assets.
- Manage the company's capital structure, including debt and equity financing. Make recommendations on capital allocation and investment decisions.
- Oversee cash flow management, optimizing working capital and liquidity to meet operational needs.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations, accounting standards, and tax laws. Coordinate audits and liaise with external auditors.
- Manage banking relationships, including credit facilities, investments, and cash management accounts.
- Evaluate potential mergers, acquisitions, or divestitures. Lead due diligence, financial analysis, and integration efforts if applicable.
- Build and lead a high-performing finance team. Provide mentorship and guidance to develop the team's skills and capabilities.
Requirement
- Minimum of 8 years of progressively responsible experience in finance and operations management, preferably within the railway or transportation industry.
- Proven track record of strategic financial planning, budgeting, and analysis.
- Experience in managing cross-functional teams and leading operational improvement initiatives.
- Strong understanding of financial regulations, accounting principles, and tax laws.
- Experience in project management and stakeholder engagement.
- Proven leadership experience in finance and operations management.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong understanding of financial principles and regulations.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to translate vision into action.
- Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Contract length: 24 months
Pay: RM5,000.00 - RM10,000.00 per month
