What You'll Do
As a Therapeutic Area Lead (Oncology), your role will be pivotal in initiating, developing and delivering medical and scientific input for one or more products in the assigned area. You will be responsible for ensuring that medical strategies and tactics are in place for each product. Your expertise will be crucial in engaging with Key External Experts in the relevant Therapeutic Area. You will also coordinate timely medical input into the Core Medical Plan and provide valuable input to commercial activities for the product brand teams. Your role will involve developing a comprehensive medical communication plan and providing internal medical support. Additionally, you will evaluate proposed research concepts or protocols from healthcare professionals for Investigator Sponsored Research.
The ideal candidate for the Therapeutic Area Lead (Oncology) position holds an advanced scientific degree from a university in Life and/or Health Science or a degree in an appropriate biological science. You bring a minimum of 5 years experience in the Medical Affairs function in immunology or solid tumors. Your strong scientific analytical and problem-solving skills, combined with your excellent communication, writing, and presentation skills make you an ideal fit for this role. Your ability to collaborate and build strategic alignment within the Medical Affairs community is crucial. You have a deep understanding of applicable industry laws and regulations. Your outstanding interpersonal and networking skills will be key in developing and maintaining relationships with key external experts.
