Accountant

As we continue to grow, we are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accountant to join our dynamic team and contribute to a greener future.

Key Responsibilities:

• Financial Reporting: Prepare accurate and timely financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
• General Ledger Maintenance: Maintain and update the general ledger, ensuring the accuracy of all journal entries and reconciliations.
• Accounts Payable/Receivable: Oversee accounts payable and receivable functions, ensuring timely payment of invoices and collection of receivables.
• Tax Compliance: Ensure the company complies with all tax regulations, prepare tax returns, and liaise with external auditors and tax authorities as needed.
• Budgeting & Forecasting: Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and financial forecasts, monitoring budget performance throughout the year.
• Internal Controls: Ensure compliance with internal financial controls and identify opportunities for process improvements.
• Audit Support: Assist in both internal and external audits by preparing necessary documentation and reports.
• Payroll Processing: Manage payroll processes and ensure accurate and timely payments to employees.
• Financial Analysis: Conduct regular financial analysis to monitor the company's financial health and provide recommendations for improvement.
• Ad-hoc Projects: Participate in special projects as assigned by the finance team or senior management.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Professional Certifications (e.g., CPA, ACCA) are a plus but not required.
• Experience: At least 2 years of experience in accounting, preferably in the construction or building materials industry.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Navision) and Microsoft Excel.
• Knowledge of construction accounting practices, including cost tracking, job costing, and financial reporting.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
