We are partnering with a leading global logistics and freight forwarding company, and we are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Business Development Manager to join our team in Klang.

Responsibilities:

  • Proactively identifying and pursuing new business opportunities through prospecting, networking, and building relationships across various industries.
  • Conducting market research to understand emerging trends, competition, and customer needs, using this data to create customized solutions and value propositions.
  • Managing and maintaining strong client relationships to ensure customer satisfaction, retention, and opportunities for upselling.
  • Collaborating with internal teams (operations, pricing, customer service) to create tailored logistics solutions that meet client demands.
  • Preparing and presenting proposals, contracts, and pricing agreements, and negotiating terms to close deals and achieve sales targets.
  • Monitoring sales performance metrics, analyzing market trends, and collecting customer feedback to improve performance and develop action plans.
  • Staying informed about industry developments, regulatory changes, and market dynamics in the logistics and freight forwarding sectors in Klang.
  • Representing the company at industry events and networking opportunities to promote services and expand the contact network.

Requirement:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Logistics, or a related field Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in business development, sales, or account management inthe logistics, freight forwarding, or supply chain industry.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth in a competitive market environment.
  • Strong understanding of logistics and supply chain management concepts, with the ability todevelop and present customized solutions to clients.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to buildrapport and establish credibility with clients at all levels.
  • Self-motivated and results-oriented, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and CRM software. Knowledge of logistics software and tools is a plus.
  • Fluency in English and Malay. Proficiency in other languages spoken.
