Head of Strategy and Operations

An MNC IT business solutions firm (core business in Fintech software development) based in a major commercial and residential hub in Kuala Lumpur, is looking for Head of Strategy and Operations.

The Head of Strategy and Operations is a senior leadership role responsible for driving the strategic direction and operational excellence of the company. This position requires a deep understanding of the Fintech especially in the capital markets domain, IT trends, and operational capabilities to ensure alignment between strategy and execution.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Strategic Planning:

· Lead the development and implementation of the company’s strategic plan.

· Collaborate with senior leadership to define long-term goals and objectives.

· Identify new business opportunities, market trends, and potential risks.

· Develop frameworks and methodologies for strategic analysis and decision-making.

2. Operational Management:

· Oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness.

· Implement best practices in operations management, including process improvement and cost optimization.

· Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess operational performance and drive improvements.

· Ensure alignment between operational capabilities and strategic goals.

3. Team Leadership:

· Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing strategy and operations team.

· Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.

· Provide guidance and support to cross-functional teams to ensure successful execution of strategic initiatives.

4. Financial Oversight:

· Collaborate with the Finance Department to develop budgets and forecasts aligned with the strategic plan.

· Analyze financial performance and make data-driven recommendations for improvement.

· Ensure efficient allocation of resources to support strategic priorities.

5. Stakeholder Management:

· Engage with key stakeholders, including the executive team, board of directors, and external partners.

· Communicate strategic plans, progress, and results to internal and external audiences.

· Build and maintain relationships with industry leaders, partners, and key clients.

6. Change Management:

· Lead change management initiatives to drive organizational transformation.

· Ensure smooth implementation of new strategies and processes across the organization.

· Address challenges and resistance to change, ensuring buy-in from all levels of the organization.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management, or a related field; MBA or equivalent advanced degree is often preferred.

• Experience: 10+ years of experience in strategy, operations, or a related field, with a proven track record in leadership roles; with exposure in capital markets domain

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: RM18,000.00 - RM24,000.00 per month
