JOB DESCRIPTION:
THE ROLE
You will be responsible for utilising data sources to create proposition solutions for banks and non-banks on retail and SME loan portfolios. The role requires strong data handling capabilities, as well as advanced knowledge of SAS, Python, and R. Additionally, the ideal candidate will have a background in banking and credit risk management.
Responsibilities:
- Utilise credit bureau data and other relevant data sources to create proposition solutions for banks and non-banks on retail and SME loan portfolios.
- Handle and manipulate large data sets using SAS, Python, and R
- Support the development and implementation of advanced analytics models for risk management and credit scoring using SAS or similar tools.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver data-driven actionable insights and recommendations.
- Continuously monitor and improve data quality to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Use statistical and data visualisation techniques to present data in a clear and compelling way.
- Stay up to date with the latest developments in the banking and credit risk management industry.
Qualifications:
- The candidate should have experience in handling and manipulating large data sets.
- Candidates are expected to have a background in banking and credit risk, specifically in retail and SME banking.
- The role requires a good understanding of statistical and data visualisation techniques, with the ability to communicate complex data concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Bachelor's or master’s degree in a related field (e.g., statistics, mathematics, computer science, etc.)
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in analytics, with a focus on credit risk management and/or banking
- Knowledge of data and modelling tools such as SAS, Python, and R
- Strong experience working with large data sets and databases, advanced data handling skills and proficiency in data manipulation
