The Opportunity
As a GL Accountant, you play a crucial role in managing and reporting financial information for Grass Valley.
Your Role
- Management of month-end closing activities which covers accounting and reporting of financial statements based on US GAAP as well as consolidation of Grass Valley entities in APAC where applicable;
- Responsible for timely booking of accounting entries, analysis of balance sheet and P&L accounts, including intercompany account reconciliations, during each month-end close;
- Responsible for finalizing the statutory reporting including annual audit reports and indirect tax filing;
- Ensure compliance with all statutory filing requirements, Company and Accounting policies;
- Propose and prepare monthly intercompany transactions for settlement. This includes working closely with Treasury to maintain sufficient funds to support operational needs;
- Assist in implementation of new processes and system implementation when required;
- Prepare analysis of financial performance where required;
- Provide support for ad-hoc projects and activities.
What you Have to Offer
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
- Minimum 5 years of solid working knowledge of GAAP financial reporting
- Proficient in SAP, Microsoft Excel and Word
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. Mandarin and/or Malay a plus.
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills
- Able to multi-task and meet deadlines
- Quick learner and a team player
