We are looking for a Purchasing Executive who is able to play a dynamic role in purchasing related activities for both local and international purchases.
Key roles and responsibilities:
You will be coordinating the purchasing of quality products and materials while maintaining a healthy business relationship with key suppliers & vendors.
· To liaise with manufacturing and other related teams of the Company on stock inventory and supplier management.
· Responsible in negotiating, compiling & processing of material purchase for the best quality & cost
· Undertake to improve and monitor vendors' performance in terms of pricing, delivery and quality for both goods and services.
· Identify, qualify and evaluate potential suppliers to ensure suitability and cost effectiveness of purchase.
· Update & maintain product, inventory and property data in the system
· Knowledge of importation and export processes would be an advantage.
· Perform shipment exportation, planning, follow-ups, tracking and invoicing with customers and support colleagues in export team.
· Perform other administration duties as instructed from time to time.
Key requirements:
· Candidate must possess at least Diploma/Bachelor in Business/Logistic/Supply Chain Management/Administration/Management/Commerce/Marketing or other related areas.
· Applicants must possess valid driving license with own transport.
· Willing to travel occasionally.
· Computer literate & typing skill.
· Able to work independently with minimum supervision and meet tight deadlines.
· Excellence in MS Excel & Word, MS Outlook and MS One Drive.
· Ideally some experience in logistic management and customer service.
· Required Skill(s): Time management, vendor management & inventory management.
· Interested in working in a dynamic environment with strong adaptability to gain new experience each time. Have strong management skills, acceptance toward changes and continuous improvement with good teamwork.
· Knowledge in LOGISTICS & FREIGHT FORWARDING is an added advantage.
· Keep good communication with external & internal parties and control through all phases of purchases and the journey of the export/import shipment.
· Can work independently, have a sense of responsibility and a good working attitude.
· Able to work under pressure and work in a team.
· Meticulous, resourceful and possess effective problem-solving skills
· Strong mindset to work in stressful and unstructured conditions
· At least 1-2 years of working experience.
· Extensive experience in purchasing or procurement, with leadership experience.
