MEDICAL CONSULTANT

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• In his/her provision of medical services, ensure that he/she is a qualified medical practitioner, and maintains registration with Malaysia Council as a medical practitioner at all times; and
• Ensure that he/she obtains and maintains such valid Annual Practicing Certificates (APC) as may be necessary in respect of his/her area of practice from Ministry of Health and to submit copies of such certificates to COMPANY on or before the date of employment and annually thereafter upon renewal; and
• Ensure that he/she obtains and maintains such valid Good Clinical Practice (GCP) to submit copies of such certificates to COMPANY; and
• Observe and to conform to all laws, ethics and customs relevant to or affecting the Practice in Malaysia; and
• At all times to operate the practice with the due care and skill as may be reasonably expected of a professional of this standing and with the due regard to the best interest of the patients; and
• Not to directly or indirectly cause any nuisance, do or permit to be done any unlawful or criminal act, or act in a manner which COMPANY considers in its absolute discretion, to be conduct unbecoming of a medical professional of his/her experience and stature as the Consultant, on the premises of the Clinic; and
• Consultant shall ensure that all patient’s appointments are met on time, and inform COMPANY of their unavailability and reschedule appointment, where if this is not possible and in the event the Consultant is absent for a long period of time, the COMPANY has the rights to appoint a new specialist; and
• Consultants shall not, at any time during the term of this employment, directly or indirectly refer any of the Consultant’s patient(s) to any other Clinic or hospital elsewhere without obtaining the consent of COMPANY; and
• To cooperate and facilitate the smooth operations of the practice and not to interfere with the management of the COMPANY and undertake to ensure that no agent, employee of the Consultant shall be involved in any activities at the Clinic; and
• Not by any deed, act or omission by the Consultant or the Consultant’s medical staff, officers or agents tarnish the image and/or reputation of COMPANY; and
• Not at any time, carry out any activity in the Premise or Clinic which is not agreeable to COMPANY or which conflicts with or compromises the business activities of interest of COMPANY or to do or permit to be done any unlawful or immoral activities to be carried out which in the opinion of COMPANY may be nuisance, annoyance to or in any way an interference with the comfort and quiet enjoyment of the other occupants of the adjoining suites; and
• The Consultant shall assCOMPANY will bear the cost for Professional Indemnity Insurance policy for any claims proven and adjudicated by court of law in Malaysia, arising at the instance of any party against COMPANYist COMPANY with the Professional Indemnity Insurance, together with any renewals thereof.

• Fulfill any other assigned tasks as required, demonstrating flexibility and dedication to the organization's overall objectives.
