Job Summary:

The Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the food and beverage establishment(s) to ensure optimal performance, efficiency, and guest satisfaction. This role involves managing staff, maintaining high standards of service, controlling costs, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

1.Daily Operations Management:

  • Supervise and coordinate the daily operations of the F&B establishment(s), including front-of-house and back-of-house activities.
  • Ensure all operations adhere to company policies, procedures, and industry standards.
    Oversee the setup and breakdown of service areas, ensuring a clean and organized environment.


2.Staff Management:

  • Recruit, train, and develop staff to ensure they meet performance and service standards.
  • Create and manage staff schedules, ensuring adequate coverage and optimizing labor costs.
  • Address employee issues, provide ongoing feedback, and conduct performance evaluations.


3.Customer Service:

  • Monitor and improve service quality to ensure a high level of guest satisfaction.
  • Handle customer complaints and feedback effectively, implementing improvements where necessary.
  • Develop and implement strategies to enhance the overall guest experience.


4.Financial Management:

  • Develop and manage budgets for the establishment(s), controlling expenses and maximizing profitability.
  • Monitor and analyze financial performance, including sales, costs, and profit margins.
  • Oversee inventory management, ensuring accurate stock levels and minimizing waste.


5.Marketing and Promotion:

  • Implement marketing and promotional strategies to drive sales and attract new customers.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to execute local promotions, events, and social media campaigns.
  • Analyze market trends and customer preferences to inform marketing initiatives.

6.Health and Safety Compliance:

  • Ensure compliance with food safety regulations, hygiene standards, and health and safety laws.
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits to maintain high standards of cleanliness and safety.
  • Train staff on safety procedures and emergency protocols.


7.Reporting and Communication:

  • Prepare and present regular reports on operational performance, including sales, staff performance, and customer feedback.
  • Maintain effective communication with upper management, other departments, and external partners.


8.Operational Efficiency:

  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Stay informed about industry trends and best practices, applying them to improve operations.


Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Candidate must possess at least Diploma/Bachelor's Degree/Post Graduate Diploma/Professional Degree in Food Technology/Nutrition/ Business Studies/Administration/Management, Food & Beverage Services Management, Hospitality/Tourism/Hotel Management or equivalent.
  • Strong command of spoken and written MANDARIN, ENGLISH and BAHASA MALAYSIA (or other local languages) beneficial for regional stakeholder communication.
  • At least 4-5 Year(s) of hands-on experience in sales and retail operation management in Food/Beverage/Restaurant Service or equivalent.
  • Strong leadership and organisational skills.
