Intern/Fresh Graduate/Junior / Quantity Surveyor

Responsibilities:

• Assist superior to execute & oversee in cost & contract related matters for ongoing project & tender.
• Accountable for pre- and post-contract management, monitoring materials and construction cost, site valuation, variation order, and final accounts.
• Acquire quotations from contractors and suppliers for purpose of cost assessment, analysis, or budgeting.
• Assist in taking-off quantities and cost planning.
• Collaborate with sub-contractors, client, consultant and project team.
• Follow-up with project team on progress of work done at site.
• Prepare and submit monthly progress claim and project final account
• Prepare for sub-contractor certificate of payment
• Attend site valuation, site measurement, and regular meetings when necessary.
• Coordinate with the finance department on payment-related matters, monitoring monthly projection of cash flow, physical report for an ongoing project.
• Perform any other contractual issues and contracts administration assigned by superior

Requirements

• Candidate must possess a Diploma, Bachelor's Degree, Professional Degree, in Quantity Surveyor or equivalent.
• Willing to travel to the construction site.
• Computer literate (Microsoft Office application, and AutoCAD).
• QS post for both Pre & Post Contract works in Building Construction.
• Knowledge of construction methods, costing summary, and materials budget handling skills.
• Demonstrate innovative approaches to problem-solving and an ability to negotiate across the various levels of any construction environment.
• Proactive and able to work on own initiative with minimum supervision.
• Able to prioritize and respond with an appropriate level of urgency.
• Highly reliable, and confident with handling data.
• Able to communicate in both languages of Bahasa Melayu and English.
• Able to work in Kuala Lumpur and Selangor, Malaysia.
