The Team Leader, HR Operations, is responsible for overseeing day-to-day HR operational functions, ensuring efficient management of HR services, and leading the HR operations team. This role involves handling employee data management, payroll, and benefits, and ensuring HR compliance with company policies and local regulations.

About your role

  • Leadership & Team Management
    • Lead, mentor, and manage the HR operations team to ensure the smooth execution of HR functions.
    • Foster a positive team environment and enhance team performance by providing guidance and regular feedback.
    • Allocate resources effectively to meet operational targets.
  • HR Operations Management
    • Oversee the administration of payroll, benefits, and employee records.
    • Ensure the timely and accurate processing of employee data (onboarding, offboarding, promotions, transfers, etc.).
    • Maintain and update employee records in the HR information system (HRIS).
    • Develop, implement, and optimize HR processes and procedures.
  • HR Compliance & Reporting
    • Ensure HR operations are in compliance with company policies and local labor laws.
    • Prepare and manage HR reports such as headcount, turnover, and other HR metrics.
    • Ensure accurate and timely submission of statutory reports and documents.
  • Employee Relations & Support
    • Act as a point of contact for HR-related queries from employees and other departments.
    • Handle employee grievances and resolve issues in a timely manner.
    • Collaborate with other HR teams to ensure employees are supported throughout the employee lifecycle.
  • Continuous Improvement
    • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance HR operations efficiency and effectiveness.
    • Implement and manage HR systems and tools to streamline operations.
  • HR Projects
    • Lead or participate in HR-related projects as required (e.g., system implementations, and process improvement initiatives).
    • Assist in the roll-out of new HR programs or policies.
  • Requirements

    • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
    • Minimum of 5 years of experience in HR operations, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
    • Experience in handling payroll, benefits administration, and employee data management.
    • Strong knowledge of HRIS systems and payroll software.
    • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
    • In-depth knowledge of labor laws and HR best practices.
    • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
    • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
    • Proactive and able to drive change in a fast-paced environment.
    • Strong team player with a collaborative approach.
