Position 1: Accountant (Popular Fashion Retailer)

Responsibilities

  • Perform month end closing and quarterly reporting.
  • Responsible for the accounting team to ensure the efficiencies of the day-to-day operation accounting & financial activities, such as GL, AP, AR, FA, Inventory
  • Responsible for the overall accounting function that includes preparation of financial statements, cash flow and management accounts.
  • Ensure all operational related reporting, monthly financial management requirements and relevant Financial Reporting Standards.
  • Provide coaching and mentoring for subordinates and attend to any ad hoc tasks.
  • Liaise with tax agents, auditors, company secretary, and other relevant bodies, when required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance & Accounting / Professional Qualification (ACCA/CPA/CIMA)
  • At least 5 years of related working experience
  • Must be self-motivating, capable of working independently, have initiatives & with sense of urgency.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel
  • Willing to be based in Hicom Glenmarie, Shah Alam

Position 2: Finance Business Partner/Accountant (Hybrid Work From Home & Office)


We are seeking a skilled, experience Finance Business partner to join our growing organization. In this position, you will play a key role in managing and overseeing the financial security of our organization in Malaysia. Strong communication skills, leadership, business acumen and experience are required to aid in the long-term grown and success of our company.

Job description

  • Understand the big picture while managing the day-to-day financial operations of the company which includes overseeing all aspects of the organisation's financial matters including accounting, audit, budgeting and tax for Malaysia.
  • Regularly present potential opportunities, scenarios and possible outcomes to the management team.
  • Work closely with Share Service team and Business Partners for Malaysia on day-to-day finance operation to ensure timely and accurate closure of accounts in compliance with month-end close checklist.
  • Review financial and legal documentations to verify accuracy and adherence to financial regulations and acceptable financial principles from Share Service team.
  • Analyse current finances and develop budgets for the following year.
  • Develop or recommend viable solutions for problems or situations.
  • Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with Malaysia requirement are meet in timely manner.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the management.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of relevant working experience in Accounting/Financial management.
  • Degree in Finance & Accounting or equivalent with professional qualifications such as ICAEW/ACCA/CPA/MIA.
  • Preferably with 3-5 years of relevant working experience in handling full set of accounts
  • D365 experience will be advantageous.
  • Able to work well with the team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Detailed oriented and organized.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organization skills
  • The ideal candidate will be involved with preparing financial reports and statements, bank reconciliations, and conducting cyclical audits. Moreover, the candidate must have strong interpersonal skills and possess a strong business acumen.
