Description:
- Responsible to ensure inbound and outbound shipments are running smoothly through managing a group of inplant Traffic/CS staff in achieving Traffic KPI – lead the team for error free operations and continuous improvement.
- Support emergency, hand carry shipment, drop shipment and special shipment. Selecting the suitable forwarder/courier to handle.Misc Shipment (include Scrap Sales eg. Waste, Equipment, RTV/ RMA to supplier, Recycle materials & empty spools, FG clearance sales).
- Updating Work Instructions, business process and FMEA (failure mode analysis) periodically, to review and enhance latest logistics processes to ensure shipment process stay lean, from time to time.
- Managing forwarders and couriers Supplier Performance Indicator (SPI) and initiate quarterly review. Perform monthly freight cost analysis and drive freight cost saving opportunities.
- Application of new Permit for STA and new AP from MITI.Subcontractors work monitoring on customs requirements such as licences applications/renewal and monthly movement report.
- Support on new preferential scheme – AKFTA and ASEAN China (Form E).Renew Statutory Declaration for MICCI to apply Non Preferential Certificate Of Origin.
- New material conversion, extension and creation - update Tariff HS code in SAP.To ensure compliance to legal statutory requirement for inbound & outbound shipment and any movement within the intra-company.
- Liaison with customs for all inbound and outbound exemption to ensure no delay due to custom issue.ECC (Export Control and Customs) : to release deliveries in system under Political Reason Block & Potential Match Block in SAP Tools.
- To perform EUM (End User Manager) checks on Miscellaneous customers/vendors.To represent company for meetings/liaison with any Government Agency if the topics is on Export/Import or movements out from FIZ.
Requirements:
- Min. Bachelor Degree in any field.
- More than 5 years experience in shipping within manufacturing environments. Managing freight forwarders and working with government agencies such as Custom Department, MITI, MIDA and others.
- Experience in dealing with Custom Department,familiar with FIZ, LMW requirements and regulations.
- Experience in managing a team of more than 5 peoples, managing freight forwarder performance to achieve company goals.
- Familiar with diverse working culture within multinational company is an added advantage
- Well verse in Malaysia Custom Department requirements related to import/export and FIZ/LMW movements and regulations. Familiar with all mode of transportations expecially air freight industry practices and best known methods.
- Good analytical skills in reviewing cost spending and identify potential areas for cost optimization and cost savings.
- Familiar with MS Office(Excel, Words and Powerpoint), basic knowledge in SAP
- Fluent in English and able to communicate with all levels effectively.
