Job Responsibilities:

  • Responsible to lead data center Mechanical department in the aspect of capacity planning, design, construction, operations and maintenance.
  • Manage and supervise a team of Subject Matter Expert, outsource partner, vendor, suppliers and consultant according to operation and business need. Strategize and review resource availability from time to time to ensure seamless integration of the mechanical systems with other data center infrastructure.
  • Making critical decision for team with best benefit result for PDG.
  • Able to drive team member towards company goal and direction for stability, profitability and productivity.
  • Improve data center operation and procedures, ensure fulfilling audit requirement and PDG document standard.
  • Practically provides engineering solution and guidance to operation team in sustaining data hall specification, industrial HVAC, utilities management, water supply systems, fire protection system, diesel supply, piping distribution and other mechanical systems.
  • Establish, revise and support procedures, processes and operation document according to Data Center standard and company policy.
  • Ensure systems, designs, components and materials are appropriately designed for operational and maintenance safety, standards, and codes

  • Spearheading CIP -Continuous Improvement Program for Mechanical system enhancement in stability, robustness and reliability. Evaluate and recommend new technologies and equipment to enhance system performance and reduce operational costs
  • Generate engineering solution and program towards energy efficiency and carbon neutralization.
  • Provide training to staffs and operation team according to training and development program.
  • Support Environment, Safety and Health activities by ensuring tip top condition in workplace and systems.
  • Guide and advice engineer and Shift team on incident investigation, follow up actions and the submission of the interim and final report to Senior management for review.
  • Derive improvement plan on the reliability/efficiency of the Critical equipment or processes through BMS/DCIM system data and alarm trending.
  • Lead and perform drill / Tabletop exercise / dry run-on equipment failure in developing and revise the Emergency Operating Procedures.
  • Plan and execute major activities like Annual Shutdown, Overhaul etc
  • Provide technical support project management team. Advise on technical specification and design concern arise in construction phase. Involve in Integrated System Test and system take over.
  • Able to work in odd hour and off day if necessary, including present on site, responding to call and messages, standby as proxy.
  • Supervise and lead Energy Manager in Renewable Energy, power usage, identifying opportunities for optimization and cost savings.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering or other relevant technical disciplines.
  • 8 years and above related working experience
  • Data Center working experience is highly preferred
  • Applicants with working experience in critical infrastructures like Refinery or Oil & Gas Industries will be considered as well
  • Familiar with Microsoft Excel and Word, BMS, CMMS/DCIM, ERP, Microsoft BI.
