Mass Rapid Transit Corporation Sdn Bhd (MRT Corp) is seeking an enthusiastic and driven Senior Manager for the Planning & Design of the RTS Link Project, a unique opportunity to oversee Civil Design, Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) systems, and project interfaces for the RTS Link (Railway) and ICQ (Immigration Control and Quarantine) projects. You will manage and coordinate with the Engineering Design Consultant and the Design & Build (D&B) Contractor's Consultant and handle design and technical issues related to these projects. This includes engaging with stakeholders and authorities to ensure the projects are delivered on time and within budget while protecting InfraCo's interests.

Your Role:

  • As the Senior Manager, you will lead the design and technical team for the RTS railway project, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to budget constraints. You will provide management and leadership for the RTS railway design and technical team and daily support for design and construction activities throughout project implementation.
  • Define the requirements for each RTS railway development design phase and ensure compliance.
  • One of your key responsibilities will be to ensure that project execution and implementation meet all regulatory requirements set by authorities for the RTS railway. Develop technical specifications for the design-and-build contractor covering RTS railway work packages such as stations, viaducts, and depots.
  • Coordinate with Singaporean counterparts on RTS railway design issues, including participation in meetings with JPT, JTC, and other relevant bodies.
  • Liaise with all relevant authorities and stakeholders, including agencies such as OpCo, LTA, APAD, and MOT, to ensure RTS railway designs meet statutory and user requirements.
  • Provide technical support during contract negotiations with the Design and Build contractor.

Your Profile:

  • Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering or other related fields. (Minimum CGPA of 3.00)
  • You must have at least 12 years of experience designing major infrastructure projects, with a preference for experience in MRT (Mass Rapid Transit) systems.
  • You must have strong technical knowledge and hands-on experience in the design process, excellent technical presentation skills, and the ability to identify and address critical design issues.
  • Proven experience managing and supervising a team of engineers on significant projects, having completed at least one metro project cycle that includes the construction of stations and viaducts.
  • Experience in multi-disciplinary design for metro infrastructure in urban settings or railway infrastructure.
  • You must be willing to travel and relocate, as this position will be at Johor Bahru's Office.
  • Applicable to Malaysian citizens only.
