Job Description
- To calculate the cost of construction for project based on drawings and documents, and prepare contract.
- To forecast the cost of different materials needed for the project.
- Prepare for tender document including measurement and Bill of Quantities.
- Attend client consultants/site meeting.
- Handle progress claim, site valuation, variation and final account.
- Coordinate with consultants/contractors.
- To assists in the everyday project site operations.
- Assisting the Senior Quantity Surveyor in daily tasks.
- To carry out any other duties may be assigned by management from time to time.
Job Requirement
(A) Education & Certifications (where applicable)
• Degree or Diploma in Quantity Surveying or equivalent qualification.
(B) Experience, Knowledge & Skills
- At least 2 years of working experience in a related field, preferably with experience working with a main contractor.
- Meticulous and having a keen eye for details and accuracy
- Good working attitude, able to multi-task, meet deadlines and work under pressure
- Organized and able to prioritise and manage time well
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Must be familiar with estimates, project cost control, preparation of Bill of Quantities and Project Claims.
- Preferably to be computer literate and familiar with MS Office and MS Excel applications
