We are seeking an experienced Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) Manager to join our dynamic finance team. This role will be based in Kuala Lumpur and will report directly to the Head of Corporate Finance. The FP&A Manager will be a key player in driving the financial strategy and operational efficiency of Prenetics, working closely with cross-functional teams to deliver insights that support business decisions.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Analysis & Reporting:

  • Develop, manage, and continuously improve financial models for budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning.
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly financial reports with variance analysis and recommendations.
  • Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting, collaborating with accounting and corporate finance teams.
  • Review and validate financial data inputs and reporting processes, ensuring accuracy and identifying errors in categories such as purchase requisitions, accruals, or misaligned entries in financial systems.

Budgeting & Forecasting:

  • Lead the annual budgeting process, working with various business units to gather inputs and provide guidance.
  • Maintain and update rolling forecasts, ensuring alignment with strategic business goals.

Business Performance Review:

  • Conduct deep dive financial analyses of operational and financial performance across business units.
  • Provide insights and recommendations to drive profitability, reduce costs, and enhance overall financial health.

Strategic Decision Support:

  • Collaborate with senior management to evaluate business cases for new initiatives, investments, and projects.
  • Present financial insights to support key strategic decisions and business growth initiatives.

System Configuration & KPI Analysis:

  • Work with IT and finance teams to configure financial systems, ensuring that the necessary data and KPIs are available for analysis.
  • Test and validate financial system functions (ERP D365), ensuring data accuracy and identifying system limitations or missing items in reports. Spot discrepancies and suggest improvements for better system integration.
  • Partner with key stakeholders to ensure data quality and reporting processes are optimized for decision-making.

Cross-functional Collaboration:

  • Work closely with operational teams across different business units to support financial planning and performance tracking.
  • Partner with IT, accounting, and other corporate teams to enhance financial systems and processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in FP&A, financial analysis, or similar roles within a fast-paced, multinational environment.
  • CPA or Chartered Accountant qualification required.
  • Strong financial modeling skills and proficiency with Excel and financial software.
  • Experience with ERP systems, particularly Microsoft D365 (JD Edwards experience is a plus).
  • Experience working with or at Big 4 accounting firms is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex financial data into actionable insights.
  • Experience in digital transformation and process improvement is highly desirable.
  • Willingness to travel, with initial onboarding in Hong Kong.
