Maintenance Technician (with administrative responsibilities)

JOB SUMMARY

The Maintenance Technician works closely with the Maintenance Supervisors and Executive to execute maintenance works including trouble-shooting, repairing, preventive maintenance, test run, and servicing of plant machinery, equipment, and facilities. Knowledge and experience in "PLC Control", “Inverter”, “Electrical parts" and being able to read Electrical Diagram is required.

• 6 working days.
• Willing to work shifts and overtime (Rest Day & Public Holiday).

Job Duties & Responsibilities: -

• PLC Control is required.
• To execute maintenance works including troubleshooting, repairing, preventive maintenance, test run and servicing of plant machineries, equipment and facilities.
• To work towards zero breakdowns by effectively carrying out the Preventive Maintenance Program (TPM) in collaboration with Production employees.
• To make a routine check on machines and equipment to ensure machines and equipment are working in good condition.
• To troubleshoot and recommend a solution to electrical or electronic problems and if necessary, repair the fault.
• To plan for necessary spare parts for critical items and to maintain the spare parts inventory.
• To carry out plant improvement projects, repairs, maintenance, and fabrication work as part of continuous improvement activities with safety as a priority.
• Maintaining and preparing the maintenance-related records and reporting for the Maintenance department including updating data in the maintenance database, repairs reports, spare parts records, and other administrative duties assigned by the supervisor and executive.

Job Requirements: -

• Possesses Certificate/Diploma in Electrical/Electronics field or any equivalent vocational or technical institutions.
• Chargeman.
• Appropriate electrical training or certified qualification in the electrical field is an added advantage.
• Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in maintenance and troubleshooting role on electrical components in a manufacturing environment preferably in the flexible plastic packaging industry.
• Ability to implement an effective Preventive Maintenance Program and provide basic electrical-related training to Production employees.
• Have knowledge and experience in planning and controlling spare parts inventory.
• Ability to do wiring, testing, connecting, and commissioning control panel from a schematic drawing.
• Have knowledge in the pneumatic and hydraulic system.
• Computer literate – Microsoft Office Application.
