Job Description:

As an Assistant QA Manager, you will be responsible for supporting the Quality Assurance Manager in overseeing the quality control processes within our feed manufacturing facility. You will play a key role in ensuring that our products meet regulatory standards and internal quality benchmarks. Your responsibilities will include:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in developing, implementing, and maintaining quality assurance policies and procedures specific to feed manufacturing.
  • Oversee daily QA operations, including monitoring production processes, inspecting raw materials, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
  • Conduct regular audits and inspections to identify and address quality issues.
  • Collaborate with production, R&D, and supply chain teams to ensure consistent product quality.
  • Manage and analyse test results from various quality checks
  • Implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to address quality issues and improve processes.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation related to quality control and regulatory compliance.
  • Train and mentor QA staff to ensure adherence to quality procedures and standards.
  • Stay updated on industry regulations, standards, and best practices related to feed manufacturing and quality assurance.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Animal Science, Veterinary Science, or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications are a plus.
  • 3-5 years of experience in quality assurance or quality control within the feed manufacturing or related industry, with at least 1-2 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
  • Strong understanding of quality control standards and regulations specific to feed manufacturing, including FQC, ISO 22000 and HACCP guidelines.
  • Proficiency in analytical methods used in feed quality control.
  • Experience with quality management systems and documentation.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to report and document quality issues clearly.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and adapt to changing requirements.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • HACCP Certification or other relevant food safety certifications.
  • Familiarity with ISO 22000 and feed manufacturing quality certifications.
