Main Job Responsibilities
- Be part of a team to ensure that monthly account closing is completed accurately and on time by meeting within the stipulated timeline.
- Prepare monthly and quarterly reports including 5WD, MMR, and Cognos.
- Maintain proper reconciliation of all General Ledger accounts and integrity of Financial Statements.
- Participate in financial analysis of the company’s performance, including monthly variance analysis preparation.
- Coordinating Capex requests and reviewing that fixed assets entries are recorded properly in the books for capitalization.
- In charge of annual income tax computation, tax filing, and ensuring adherence to tax regulations and compliance.
- Assist in coordinating and preparing the Annual Budget.
- Dealing with internal and external parties on operational matters, financial requirements, statutory reporting needs, taxation, and audit.
- Participate in physical count checks quarterly.
- Ensure that accounting treatment and transactions comply with the accounting policies, procedures, and requirements of the Company/Group
- Attend to any ad-hoc requirement/assignment allocated.
- Participate in continuous improvement process projects such as automation and digitalization.
- To carry out any other duties as directed by the Company Management.
Managerial (Team/Group Responsibilities):
- Collaborate with other finance teams and departments to gather necessary information for reporting.
- Support the budgeting process by providing accurate financial data and insights.
- Manage the preparation and distribution of internal financial reports to various departments and management.
Organisational (Organisational Responsibilities):
- Report to the Finance Manager.
- 5S – Adherence and participation in 5S activities.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. An advanced degree or professional certification (e.g., ACCA) is a plus.
- Have 3 to 5 years of working experience in financial reporting or accounting, preferably in the cement or construction materials industry.
- In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and regulatory compliance.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in using financial software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Leadership experience and the ability to lead a team effectively.
