Job Responsibilities:
Use computer-aided design (CAD) software (like AutoCAD, Inventor, and SketchUp) to create accurate proposal, approval, and fabrication drawings. Collaborate with engineers, production, and project teams to understand project needs and technical details. Make design changes and updates based on engineers' feedback, ensuring accuracy and meeting project standards. Ensure all drawings and documents follow industry rules, regulations, and client requirements. Visit sites or client locations to collect information, check designs, and confirm drawings meet real-world project needs. Keep updated records of all projects, including older versions and changes, for easy reference. Provide regular work reports and updates to your supervisor. Carry out any other tasks assigned by your supervisor as needed. Qualifications and Skills:
Diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering, Drafting, or a related field. Experience using CAD software ; AutoCAD, Inventor, or SketchUp. Minimum of 5 years of experience in mechanical drafting or a related field. Strong understanding of mechanical design principles. Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines. Good communication and a positive approach to work. Responsible, dedicated, independent, mature, willing to learn and travel.
