Production Supervisor

A Production Supervisor supervises production and manages foreign workers in a plywood lamination company. They ensure machine efficiency, quality control, and worker safety. They also assist foreign workers with medical needs, maintain records, and act as the communication link between workers and management.

1. Production Management:

• Supervise the production line for the lamination process (Matte, Texture, Gloss, Embossed films).
• Ensure that all machines and equipment are operating efficiently and effectively.
• Coordinate with the production team to ensure quality control and adherence to production targets.
• Monitor the production flow, identify bottlenecks, and take corrective actions to prevent delays.
• Handle machine setup, troubleshooting, and minor maintenance.

2. Worker Supervision:

• Oversee and manage foreign workers working on the production line.
• Assign tasks, provide training, and ensure that the workers are following standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safety guidelines.
• Conduct performance monitoring and assist workers in achieving productivity goals.
• Act as a liaison between management and the workers to communicate instructions, feedback, or issues.

3. Foreign Worker Management:

• Monitor foreign workers' welfare, ensuring they are in compliance with company policies.
• Arrange transportation for foreign workers to the clinic, hospital, or other necessary appointments (e.g., for medical check-ups, follow-ups, or emergencies).
• Maintain records of their work permits, visas, and health check-ups, ensuring all documents are up-to-date.
• Assist with communication issues or cultural differences that may arise within the workforce.
• Handle disciplinary actions or provide support if there are any personal issues affecting the workers.

4. Health & Safety:

• Ensure that the production line adheres to all health and safety standards.
• Conduct safety briefings and ensure workers are wearing the proper protective gear.
• Coordinate with human resources or management to provide workers with first aid, and handle any work-related accidents or injuries.
• Arrange for regular health screenings, especially for foreign workers, as required by local laws.

5. Reporting & Coordination:

• Prepare and submit daily production reports and updates to the Production Manager or Plant Manager.
• Coordinate with different departments like Quality Control, Maintenance, and HR to ensure smooth operation.
• Manage inventory levels for raw materials and finished products and coordinate with the warehouse team.

6. Problem Solving:

• Act as the first point of contact for any issues that arise on the production line (technical, worker-related, etc.).
• Provide on-the-spot solutions to operational challenges, whether machine-related or worker-related.

In summary, the Production Supervisor plays a critical role in balancing both production efficiency and worker welfare, especially for foreign workers who may need extra support with local healthcare or administrative needs.
