RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

  • Produce copy and content across a range of media and formats with established tone and style requirements.
  • Develop and write copy for digital content that meets business and marketing objectives from beginning to end.
  • Interpret account briefs - producing original, engaging and optimised copy for websites, digital media ads, plus all other creative works.
  • Create social media editorial calendars and schedules, and develop email marketing campaigns
  • Conduct SEO research for high-performing keywords that align with a website’s or piece of content’s goals.
  • Proofread and edit copy for digital and traditional media, while maintaining brand integrity in all creative materials.
  • Work closely with the creative and design team in the conception and execution of all deliverables.
  • Participate in creative discussions and presentations with seniors, and collaborate with the design team to present integrated concepts to clients.
  • Actively participate in the brainstorming and translation of creative strategies into sound concepts and approaches.
  • Keep current on the latest technology, interactive tools, industry trends and content management, usability and design methodologies.
  • Keeping to deadlines are mandatory, so to ensure timely and quality delivery of final materials.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

  • A Postgraduate Degree or Diploma in Journalism/ Mass Communication/ Multimedia/ Advertising or within a related discipline.
  • Preferably 3-5 years relevant work experience that include copywriting, copyediting, SEO, keyword research, Google Analytics.
  • Strong understanding of social storytelling and content creation utilising established and emerging platforms to concept and develop original and behind-the-scenes content, blog posts, and social experiments.
  • A creative thinker with big ideas, and an expert at adapting their writing talent to meet clients’ needs.
  • A researcher who can dig deep to find valuable information and craft compelling stories.
  • Has strong knowledge of SEO, keyword research, and integrating keyword strategy into copy and content.
  • Strong knowledge of Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, X, LinkedIn, and other social media best practices.
  • Organised and can manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment.
  • An active problem solver who is meticulous, with a particular attention to detail.
  • Fluent in written and spoken English, and proficient in Microsoft Office tools such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Team player with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
