Role Objective

Support the relevant Category and build strong product lines to meet sales, margins, merchandising and profit objectives.

Job Description

  • Manage the relevant Category and build product lines to meet sales, margins, merchandising and profit objectives
  • Work between quantum profit and margins, buying and commercial gross to close the deal and achieve KPI’s based on category.
  • Negotiate with suppliers to maximize the product range’s sales, profit and margin and deliver within budget.
  • Conduct promotional analysis and measure promotional performance; setting optimal promotional pricing levels.
  • Manage stock and catalogue commitment in line with agreed promotional activities and peak sales opportunities.
  • Manage catalogue planning at all times ensuring catalogues meet customer profiles and reflects the correct range of product mix to fully maximize on market opportunities.
  • Manage healthy inventory and inventory turn. Review product performance time to time, to reduce aged stock bucket

Job Requirement

Formal Education & Certification

  • Preferably Diploma or Degree in Retail Management or Business or Accounting background.

Knowledge & Experience

  • Minimum 2 years of retail buying experience
  • Track record of successfully category management.
