Job Overview

The Senior Accounts Executive is responsible for managing the complete set of accounts and overseeing month-end closing processes to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting. Key duties include preparing and reviewing Balance Sheets, Profit & Loss Statements, and addressing any outstanding financial matters.

The role entails assisting in the preparation of audited financial statements, coordinating with external auditors, and supporting the development of annual budgets and forecasts in line with organizational objectives.

Roles & Responsibilities

Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, adhering to processes established by management.

Performing monthly financial closing, ensuring proper cost recording, accruals, and account reconciliations.

Manage daily accounting and finance operations to support business growth.

Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning with actionable insights.

Assist in managing cash flow and maintain accurate banking records.

Maintain, Monitor and review client invoices, receipts, payments, staff expenses, and supplier bills, addressing queries as needed.

Ensure all transactions are supported by proper necessary documentations.

Prepare monthly GL, AR, AP, and bank reconciliations and provide accrual lists to management.

Handle petty cash and staff purchase reimbursements.

Ensure accurate recording of stock transactions, migration from inventory software, and generate variance reports in the event of discrepancies.

Process intercompany transactions and maintain the Fixed Asset Register.

Ensure audit schedules are up to date and provide support to auditors.

Meet deadlines and perform effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Handle ad hoc tasks and collaborate with other departments to provide accurate information.

Job Requirements:

Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business with 2 to 4 years’ relevant experience.

At least 2 years of experience managing full sets of accounts including corporate tax, cash flow management, audit and GST.

Strong experience and knowledge in accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash flow and fund transfer.

Prior working experience in Retail / F&B is a bonus.

Experienced in working with accounting system such as Quickbooks, Autocount, or with system implementation project experience.

Job Types: Full-time, Internship

Pay: RM3,287.16 - RM4,500.00 per month
