SENIOR DESIGN ENGINEER (MECHANICAL)

Job Description

• To lead and responsible for the Junior Engineer on the assigned task.
• Hands on support to Project Team for the Mechanical System during commissioning phase.
• To support Engineering Managers on all design, tender and project activities.
• To work within the Engineering Team and be involved in all aspects of EPCC projects from design, procurement, support construction and commissioning, start-up.
• Preparation of tender, design and budgetary proposal not limited to Cleanroom system and utilities, electrical work and all others related.
• To check, coordinate and finalize for tender drawing, Schedule of Price, Schedule of Technical Data, Specification and etc for electrical and mechanical services provided by external consultant.
• To provide design, tender drawings, and schedule of price for building services without external consultant.
• Communicate with the client and do detail study on site in getting all the correct information within a specific deadline.
• Interpret client’s requirements, respond promptly, and keep superiors informed with the latest expectation or request.
• Study and prepare HVAC-Heat Load calculations to determine cooling and heating load required based on the information given.
• Study, prepare and design of the specific Cleanroom Architecture, M&E and Civil system within the enquiry.
• Liaise and provide clients with technical advice to prepare, execute and fulfil the proposal/tender design.
• Update clients and/or their representatives (e.g., architects, engineers and surveyors) on the proposal preparation. Attend meetings when necessary.
• To provide Value Engineering and design optimizing for building services.
• Participate in design reviews and clarifications at the early stages of process and basic engineering works.
• Preparation of Shop/Construction drawing for all the awarded projects.
• Assist on the selection of the materials for the recommendation to Project Team.
• Other extra work assignments from the department when needed.

Background:

• Bachelors of in Mechanical Engineering
• Good knowledge in Cleanroom Architecture System, HVAC design, basic Electrical knowledge and Thermodynamics.
• Knowledge in Cleanroom Utility System is a plus.
• Good working knowledge of ACAD, Excel, Word, Power Point and Microsoft Project
• Ability to utilize 3D BIM drawing system is an advantage.
• Willing to be based on project location during the design phase (For big project).
• Able to travel to site on occasional basis.
• Have own transportation.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
