Mechanical Simulation & Modelling Engineer

Pay Range: MYR 4000 - 6000

Work Arrangement: 5 days work week

Work Arrangement Remarks: Mon-Fri - 8am-5pm. 12pm-1pm lunch break.

Working on-site.

Responsibilities:

• Perform numerical modeling of the stress and deformation of components during manufacturing process and reliability testing.
• Provide comprehensive understanding of core Lithium-ion battery and packaging interaction to ensure superior product yield and reliability.
• Utilize CAD tools, SolidWorks, FEM software, and numerical tools to set up automated model-generation user interfaces and maintain those codes.
• Provide recommendation of material & design ideas based on result of simulation to design and product engineering.
• Work with process & product development engineers to validate the simulation and fine tune the model.

Qualifications

• Minimum BS in mechanical engineering with10+ years of relevant industry experience
• Proven capability in mechanics and mathematics.
• Hands-on experience of major FEM tools (e.g., ANSYS, ABAQUS, Hypermesh, etc.).
• Proficiency with numerical simulation software tools and expert in Matlab and/or Scientific Python.
• Deep understanding of material properties and its mechanical behaviors.
• Knowledge of Lithium-ion battery structures and manufacturing processes, Lithium-ion battery reliability, and Lithium-ion battery qualification requirements is a plus.
• Able to perform independent research and development work.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to present ideas, design concepts, data and plan with high confidence at team meetings.
