Position: Assistant Buyer
Location: Kulai
Working Days: Mon to Fri – 8:30 am to 5:30 pm
Alternate Saturday – half day
Job Description
- Source and acquire materials, supplies, and services for production and operations.
- Process order requests and issue purchase requisitions.
- Monitor and maintain stock levels for local and project parts.
- Generate and manage purchase orders, ensuring timely delivery.
- Source and evaluate potential suppliers.
- File warranty claims for defective parts.
- Negotiate pricing with suppliers.
- Communicate and coordinate with suppliers regularly.
- Arrange import/export shipments and prepare relevant documentation.
Requirements:
- Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Min 1 year experience as a purchaser or in a similar role.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy and efficiency.
