Position Title: Sales Engineer

Industry: Manufacturing (Retail Steel Products)

Location: Balakong, Selangor

Job Overview:

The Sales Engineer will combine technical knowledge with sales skills to provide advice and support on a range of products for which a certain level of expertise is needed. The Sales Engineer will assist colleagues with bids and tenders for new clients from a technical perspective, working closely with the sales team to ensure that products and solutions are tailored to meet client needs.

Job Responsibilities

• Client Engagement: Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients, understanding their needs and providing tailored solutions.
• Technical Support: Provide technical advice and support to clients during the sales process, including conducting product demonstrations and presentations.
• Solution Development: Collaborate with clients to identify their requirements and design customized solutions using our steel store fixtures.
• Sales Strategy: Assist in the development and implementation of sales strategies to achieve company targets and expand our market presence.
• Proposal Preparation: Prepare detailed proposals, quotations, and tender documents, ensuring technical accuracy and compliance with client specifications.
• Market Analysis: Conduct market research to identify new opportunities and stay informed about industry trends and competitor activities.
• Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, including engineering, production, and R&D, to ensure client requirements are met and projects are delivered on time.
• Feedback Loop: Gather and analyze feedback from clients to help inform product development and improvement initiatives.

Qualifications & Experiences Needed

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a sales engineering role, preferably within the manufacturing or retail fixture industry.
• Technical Skills: Strong technical knowledge of steel store fixtures and related products.
• Sales Skills: Proven track record in sales, with the ability to meet or exceed targets.
• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a customer-centric approach.
• Team Player: Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
• Travel: Willingness to travel to client sites as required.
