Key Responsibilities:
- Finalization of Accounts:
- Manage and finalize full sets of accounts, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and accounting standards.
- Client Advisory:
- Leverage SQL accounting software to provide sound financial advice and insights to clients on their accounts.
- Visit and meet clients physically to resolve accounting-related issues and provide ongoing support.
- Team Supervision:
- Lead, supervise, and provide guidance to junior accounting staff.
- Review and double-check junior team members' accounting entries to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Compliance and Deadlines:
- Ensure timely submission of accounts in adherence to accounting deadlines for the Inland Revenue Board (IRB) and Companies Commission of Malaysia (SSM).
- Stay updated on changes in tax regulations and ensure compliance.
- Industry-Specific Accounting:
- Handle accounting for a diverse range of industries, including construction, housing development, online businesses, and more.
- Adapt to industry-specific accounting challenges and provide accurate financial reporting.
- Tax Knowledge:
- Apply basic knowledge of taxation to provide insights during account finalization and reporting.
- Assist clients with tax planning and compliance when required.
- Financial Analysis:
- Analyze and interpret financial data, ensuring it aligns with the Malaysian Private Entities Reporting Standards (MPERS) and exposure to Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards (MFRS) is preferred.
- Provide insights on financial health, trends, and risks for clients.
- Versatility in Accounting Standards:
- Handle accounting for various business structures including Sdn Bhd (Private Limited Companies), Limited Liability Partnerships (LLP), Sole Proprietorships, and Partnerships.
- Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP) Management:
- Efficiently manage AR and AP using SQL accounting software, ensuring all transactions are properly recorded and reconciled.
- Degree in Accounting or professional qualification such as ACCA.
- Minimum 4 years of relevant accounting experience with exposure to leading and managing teams.
- Proficient in SQL accounting software.
- Strong knowledge of MPERS and preferably MFRS.
- Strong leadership and supervisory skills.
- Excellent client communication and interpersonal skills.
- Well-versed in handling accounts for multiple industries.
- Preferable knowledge in taxation and tax planning.
