Overall purpose of the role

This role provides P2P delivery partnership support to the Property, Casualty and Technical Special Risks (PCTSR) and Natural Resources (NR) Asia Pacific divisions spanning Australia, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia and Singapore.

As P2P Delivery Partner, you will play a critical role in bridging the gap between the respective local businesses and the Group P2P function. You will have oversight of the local P2P service delivery and policy compliance, and you will partner closely with the Group P2P function to ensure that opportunities for process and quality improvement are maximised.

On a day-to-day basis, you will be responsible for supplier relationship management, escalation management, robust P2P process and policy compliance, driving consistency across the respective business areas, as well as continuous analysis and consolidation of business needs, providing regular feedback and communication to Group P2P function and offshore accounts payable team based in India.

Key responsibilities

  • Supplier relationship management, resolving AP and invoice issues/queries
  • Monitoring payment cycle proactively, request for supporting invoices, follow up closely on payment processes/offline & online approvals/bank payment requests & authorisations etc.
  • Supplier IBVs (Independent Bank Verification), sanction screening, due diligence and compliance checks according to Group policies
  • Banking arrangements for local payments including but not limited to office utilities, rental, tax/government payments, staff fridge, ad hoc payments and rectification, funding between Inter-companies/to Group etc.
  • Client funds set up, updates, due diligence and processing including but not limited to checking documentation/clients’ approvals, top up, pay out, refund, rectification, reconciliations etc
  • Expense @ Work implementation and resolve staff payment issues in a timely manner
  • To raise purchase requisitions for purchase orders of non-recoverable expenses and raise snow P2P tickets for settlement from the Group
  • Maintain updates of online banking, bank signatories and mandates
  • To collaborate with operations, working capital, finance, payroll, Group compliance and P2P teams, and liaison with bank relationship managers/CSOs to ensure smooth payment processes and continuous improvement in the region
  • Carry out Ad Hoc duties and tasks that are allocated to you at the discretion of management and that are within your capabilities and within the scope of your post.

Person specification

  • Prior experience in service delivery management within Finance, preferably within P2P environment
  • Excellent business partnering skills, able to quickly build rapport, whilst also able to challenge and manage conflict as required
  • Strong communicator with excellent level of English, both written and spoken
  • Previous experience working with multinational stakeholders across multiple geographies
  • Self-motivated and independent, comfortable working with minimum supervision
  • Enthusiastic and proactive work ethic, with a keen eye for detail
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite, able to quickly pick up new systems and tools.
  • Highly numerate with demonstrable analytical problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and provide quality work under a tight schedule.
