The Head of Sales is responsible for the overall sales strategy, execution, and performance of the company. This role involves leading the sales and business development teams to drive revenue growth, expand market presence, and achieve the company’s sales targets. The Head of Sales will align sales activities with the company’s strategic objectives, ensuring a cohesive approach across all regions and markets.

Sales Strategy & Planning:
o Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy aligned with the company’s overall business objectives.
o Set sales targets and KPIs for the sales and business development teams.
o Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to adjust strategies as necessary.


Leadership & Management:
o Lead and mentor the sales and business development teams, fostering a high-performance culture.
o Oversee the activities of the Business Development Manager and Sales Manager, ensuring alignment with the sales strategy.
o Provide guidance and support to sales personnel in achieving their targets and career development goals.


Business Development:
o Collaborate with the Business Development Manager to identify and pursue new market opportunities.
o Drive initiatives for market expansion, new product launches, and strategic partnerships.
o Ensure that business development efforts are aligned with the company’s long-term growth strategy.


Sales Operations:
o Manage the day-to-day operations of the sales team, including lead generation, pipeline management, and closing deals.
o Ensure the sales team delivers excellent customer service, maintains strong customer relationships, and meets revenue targets.
o Regularly review and optimise sales processes, tools, and methodologies to improve efficiency and effectiveness.


Performance Monitoring & Reporting:
o Track and report on sales performance, providing regular updates to senior management.
o Analyse sales data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
o Prepare and present sales forecasts, budgets, and performance reports.


Cross-Functional Collaboration:
o Work closely with the marketing team to align sales and marketing efforts, ensuring consistent messaging and branding.
o Collaborate with product development and supply chain teams to ensure product availability and meet customer demand.
o Partner with the finance team to manage pricing strategies, discount schemes, and contract negotiations.


Customer Relationship Management:
o Oversee the use of CRM systems to manage customer interactions, sales data, and performance metrics.
o Ensure that customer feedback is incorporated into product and service improvements.


Market Expansion & Representation:
o Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and conferences to promote the company’s brand and products.
o Lead efforts to enter new markets, expand existing customer bases, and increase market share.


Education Background

Required: Must possess at least a degree or higher in Marketing / Business Studies / Business Administration / International Business or an equivalent qualification.

Preferred: Experience in international sales is an added advantage.

Experience

• Minimum of 10 years of working experience in similar roles and industry.
• Proven track record of achieving sales targets and leading high-performing sales teams.
