Responsibilities

  • Handling, Processing, Recommend Settlement of claims in accordance with policy contract, company policy and procedures.
  • Compliance of all the claims processes, procedures, policies and guidelines as stipulated in the Non- Motor Claims Manual and/or instructions.
  • Provide quality, prompt and efficient claims service to meet Customers satisfaction
  • Review/follow up on all outstanding claims on regular basis to ensure claims reserve are adequate and status updated. Maintain a low pending ratio of outstanding claims (prompt disposal of claims to reduce number of outstanding claims.)
  • Review work processes and provide creative ideas and professional views in improvement of claims guidelines and work processes
  • Provide professional suggestions and recommendations to superior in claims management issues
  • Assist superior to handle major large losses / event losses / complicated / litigated claims i.e. preparation of Major Loss Advice (MLR), preliminary loss / development and settlement loss / cash calls advices to co/reinsurers on timely manner. Keep Reinsurance and Finance advised of any material claims as set in the claims manual / procedures and work with Reinsurance to effect recoveries.
  • Highlight to supervisors and/or HODs of any deficiency in policy coverage and adverse claims trends to facilitate corrective and appropriate action.
  • Participate in:-

a) Reviewing and implementing of workflows and best practices inv business processes.

b) UAT on new products, system enhancements etc.

c) Initiatives, projects and assignments as and when the need arises.

Requirements

  • Degree holder in any field/Associate MII/CII.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in Insurance industry, preferably in Non Motor Claims Management.
  • Good communication skills and meticulous.
  • Strong organization, prioritization and good stakeholder management.
  • Has knowledge of the Regulations and Law in relation to Claims.
