As a BU Profitability Program Manager at Micron, you will partner with key collaborators on well-rounded and balanced cost management. You will define short and long-term strategies, balancing growth and cost. You will be responsible for compiling, analyzing, and presenting data, which you will use to identify objectives, support decision-making, and communicate program progress. Through program management efforts, you will support projects and activities that will streamline operations, implement procedural improvements, and reduce wasted time and resources. You will recommend innovative efficient solutions ensuring we stay easy to do business with and help the business re-think cost in terms of differentiating capabilities. Ultimately, you will proactively engage in cross-functional partnering to achieve best-outstanding and improve ability while optimizing business value.

Primary Responsibilities, include but not limited to:

  • Partner cross-functionally to research and pursue innovative ways to ensure we are easy to do business with through process, tools, and/or automation, while reducing costs and growing profitability
  • Analyze existing system functionality, business processes, and product costs in the scope of the business need and recommend actionable, cost-effective solutions to improve
  • Link cost and strategy by continually ensuring that we remain aligned with our strategic goals
  • Supervise results and engage collaborators to deliver status updates for all your program’s projects
  • Prepare detailed cost forecasts, analyzing variances and identifying trends to support financial decision-making
  • Compile and analyze product feedback data to help ensure quality product experiences while driving costs to best-in-class.
  • Generate reports from multiple systems and functions and maintain a dashboard of select metrics. Develop data visualizations to effect informed decisions
  • Maintain a compiled list of opportunities categorized by level of benefit, cost, risk, and viability
  • Work with change management teams on change implementations, and report on effectiveness of change(s) in relation to the target objective
  • Draft analysis reports with clarity and present statistical information to collaborators and executive team
  • Resolve and use appropriate methods to analyze operations, relevant data, costs, and cost controls
  • Partner with Finance to perform risk analysis to assess potential financial impacts, developing strategies to mitigate cost-related risks
  • Conduct long and short-term data analysis with a focus on increasing productivity, lowering fixed and variable costs, and improving customer experience

Qualifications and Education/Experience:

  • Degree in Business Administration, Finance and/or equivalent education or work experience
  • Minimum 10 years of relevant working experience in Costing/ Finance or relevant field
  • Ability to efficiently implement tasks and meet deadlines, while adhering to specified quality standards
  • Excellent analytical skills, problem analysis, problem solving and decision-making skills
  • Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail
  • Strong mathematical foundation. Experience in costing is a plus
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Consulting, advising, and project management expertise
  • Experience using statistical and database software
  • Experience within a semiconductor or high-tech firm preferred
