Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive ISO 45001, ISO 14001 certified HSE Management Systems.
  • Contribute to corporate HSE policies and procedures.
  • Manage HSE documentation, records, and reporting requirements effectively.
  • Develop, plan, organize and implement HSE programs to promote safety awareness towards a proactive safety culture.
  • Complete site and operational HSE risk assessments to identify and control safety and environment hazards; Ensure risk assessment and risk control or mitigations for hazards are implemented and maintained.
  • Prepare training materials and conduct inductions and trainings; Develop and deliver relevant safety talks.
  • Setup the HSE Committee in the establishing of the system manual, policy, execution of HSE programs and advise the committee on regulatory requirement.
  • Conduct safety audits and worksite inspections including ISO audits to ensure compliance with applicable regulations, standards and corporate requirements.
  • Monitor and analyse HSE performance metrics to track progress, identify trends, and drive continuous improvement and welfare condition of the plant.
  • Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses to identify root causes and implement corrective and preventive actions to ensure all findings at site during the safety audits and worksite inspections are rectified and prepare accident investigation report.
  • Monitor chemical exposure, LEV, medical surveillance and other mitigation in the Health Risk Assessment are implemented and maintained;
  • Ensure all machinery and equipment are adhere to the Certificate of Fitness requirement;
  • Manage the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) including selection, maintenance, purchasing, training, storage, and compliance.
  • Manage the storage, use, disposal and transportation of hazardous materials, including maintenance of local Safety Data Sheet (SDS) inventory.
  • Ensure all scheduled waste is managed as per Environmental Quality Act; Collect and report environmental sustainability data.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate HSE considerations into project planning and execution.
  • Liaise with DOSH, CIDB, DOE or other local agencies
  • Contribute to the enhancement of a positive HSE culture.
  • Perform any ad-hoc duties or assignment when assigned by Superior.

Education Qualifications and experience:

  • Degree in Occupational Safety, Health and Environment or equivalent;
  • 5 years working experience in related field, experience with managing facility health, safety and environmental processes and procedures
  • Registered as Safety and Health Officer with DOSH (Greenbook)
  • Experience with managing project deliverables and team collaboration
  • Excellent leadership, communication (both written and oral) skills
  • Highly responsive, flexible and adaptable, Stress resilience, guarded pessimist, ability to think and work methodically

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: RM8,000.00 - RM12,000.00 per month
