About the Role

The Manager, Cloud Operations will lead the cloud operations team to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of cloud services. This role focuses on leveraging DevOps practices and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to automate and optimize cloud infrastructure, ensuring high availability, scalability, and security.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

Lead and manage the cloud operations team, providing guidance and support to ensure effective performance.

Oversee the deployment, management, and maintenance of cloud infrastructure using IaC tools such as JSON, Ansible, YAML, and Terraform.

Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines to automate the deployment and scaling of applications.

Collaborate with development, security, and operations teams to ensure seamless integration and delivery of cloud services.

Monitor cloud infrastructure performance, identify issues, and implement solutions to improve reliability and efficiency.

Ensure compliance with security policies and best practices in cloud operations.

Develop and maintain documentation for cloud infrastructure and operational procedures.

Stay updated with the latest cloud technologies and trends and recommend improvements to existing processes.

Assist in the support of a multi-cloud environment (predominantly Azure, and Tencent).

Liaise with service providers to ensure that operational processes (backup, patching, provisioning, monitoring) are followed and incidents are managed effectively.

Improve operational efficiency through automation opportunities and use-case definition with the Automation Engineer.

Support Group Technical Risk to ensure compliance with all security requirements and standards.

Assist with business unit onboarding into their chosen cloud environment.

Experience:

5+ years of experience in cloud operations or a related field.

Proven experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.

Hands-on experience with IaC tools like JSON, Ansible, YAML, and Terraform.

Strong understanding of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.

Experience with monitoring and logging tools for cloud infrastructure.

Experience in a team leader capacity is a plus.
