Duties and responsibilities
  • Understand government and quasi-government departments, programs, and processes pertaining to the industry.
  • Identify business opportunities by maintaining extensive knowledge of market conditions in the local market.
  • Provide feedback to Business Development Manager on business trends with a view to developing new services, products, and distribution channels.
  • Originate and develop PV system solution opportunities and leads for Turnkey Systems, PPAs both on-site and off-site, and other products based on the Company’s value proposition.
  • To build a leads master list through a variety of methods such as but not limited to cold calling, marketing and networking events, industry association events, business group events, and others.
  • To screen the leads master list and build a pipeline of real opportunities within the local market.
  • To be the lead and handle project tasks including but not limited to the following: proposal preparation (RFQ, RFP, One-to-One Direct Negotiation and etc), proposal submission, proposal presentation, close follow up, negotiation, contract review, etc. up to the stage where the project is officially awarded.
  • Work closely with potential clients to obtain detailed commercial and technical information to develop a viable techno-commercial proposal.
  • Support contract negotiation with client alongside senior management, finance, and legal teams internally
  • Assist the BD Manager in performing due diligence and feasibility study on new clients/partners and projects with assistance from internal departments.
  • Attend a site visit to determine the project feasibility.
  • Attend industry functions, such as association events and conferences, and provide feedback and information to Business Development Manager/ on market and creative trends.
  • Provide support for the execution on key business initiatives as outlined in the yearly company business plan.
  • To coordinate between different departments internally and communicate with external parties for project tendering.
  • Any other related duties connected with the Company’s business.
  • To perform any ad-hoc tasks assigned by the superior.
Requirements:
  • Candidate must possess at least Degree in related field.
  • Possess good communication skills (written and spoken) in English
  • At least 5 years & above working experience in the related field. Experience in the project sales / engineering company is an added advantage.
  • Required skill (s): Microsoft Office, CRM.
  • Good team player and interpersonal skills
  • Must possess own transport and ability travel 30-40% of the time.
  • Adaptable and able to execute varied tasks/ job scopes.
  • High self-motivation, presentation, interpersonal and communication skills
