Job Summary: The Purchasing Executive (Warehouse) is responsible for managing the procurement of goods, materials, and services required for warehouse operations. This role involves coordinating with suppliers, negotiating contracts, managing inventory levels, and ensuring timely delivery of quality materials to support the smooth operation of the warehouse. The Purchasing Executive will work closely with warehouse and operations teams to monitor stock levels, forecast needs, and optimize supply chain processes. Key Responsibilities: · Source and procure materials, equipment, and services necessary for warehouse operations. · Evaluate and select suppliers based on quality, price, reliability, and delivery capabilities. · Negotiate contracts, terms, and conditions with suppliers to secure the best deals. · Monitor and maintain inventory levels in the warehouse to ensure sufficient stock while minimizing excess. · Coordinate with the warehouse and operations teams to identify procurement needs and forecast demand. · Process purchase orders and ensure accurate documentation and tracking of all transactions. · Review supplier performance and maintain strong relationships with key vendors. · Resolve any supply chain issues, including delays, discrepancies in orders, or quality concerns. · Ensure compliance with the company’s procurement policies, procedures, and budgetary requirements. · Work closely with the finance department to track payments, resolve invoice discrepancies, and manage cost control. · Stay updated on market trends, new suppliers, and alternative products to improve procurement efficiency. · Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives aimed at optimizing warehouse purchasing and inventory processes. Requirements: Education and Experience: · Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field. · Minimum 2-3 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain, preferably within a warehouse or manufacturing environment. · Strong knowledge of purchasing practices, contract negotiation, and inventory management. Skills and Competencies: · Excellent negotiation and communication skills. · Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. · Proficiency in using procurement and inventory management software (e.g., AutoCount). · Ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple tasks efficiently. · High attention to detail and organizational skills. Preferred Qualifications: · Experience working in a fast-paced warehouse or logistics environment. · Knowledge of local and international supplier markets.
